We encourage your club to host a welcome event for alumni who have recently moved to your area. Provide alumni with a proper Michigan greeting, and if they are interested, engage them as new club volunteers. Last fall, more than 30 clubs hosted welcome events for their new "neighbors." These events were geared toward recent grads (currently defined as 2008, 2009 and 2010 grads), but any new people are invited to attend. To make sure we can help you promote your fall welcome event, please contact Will Dorchak at wdorchak@umich.edu with the date, time, venue, format and name of the person from your club who will serve as coordinator.
